A midsize family size sedan, the 2016 Toyota Camry got a significant revamp for the 2015 model year. The model remains unchanged despite a year of significant overhaul. However, it gains a Special Edition trim. This special edition includes unique elements of styling. It is available in new blue streak metallic and blizzard pearl white colors. The cabin has patterned cloth upholstery, contrast stitching and a generous amount of blue in its gauges. This car provides more expressive styling than the 2015 Camry Special Edition trims and is a bit more exclusive.
Interior and Exterior Redesign
The interior of the new Toyota Camry has an 8-way power driver seat that has a power adjustable lumbar support and bucket front seats. The seat’s height can also be adjusted and is made of cloth. The Sedan’s rear seats fold and have storage on the center armrest. Its power internal features include one-touch power windows and remote keyless power door locks. The car’s convenience is accentuated by cruise control, front and rear cup holders, an overhead console with storage space, electric power steering, a rearview camera and cruise and audio controls on the steering wheel. The car has a total of 6 speakers, an AM/FM stereo, volume control sensitive to speed, USB connection, and auxiliary audio input.
On the exterior of the vehicle, there are variable intermittent wipers and a rear defogger. The wheels are made of steel. It also has smoked taillights. The Camry also stands out because of its standard moonroof. Its wheels grow to up to 18 inches. They also have gloss black accents.
Engine and Mileage Specs, Performance
This SE is available only with the standard Camry 2.5 liter four-cylinder. This one produces 170-pound feet of torque and 178 horsepower. It has a variable valve timing and double overhead cam. The EPA mileage estimate is 25/35 mpg, a fuel capacity of 17 gallons and uses regular unleaded fuel.
The 2016 Toyota Camry was first revealed at the Chicago Auto Show. Between August 2015 and January 2016, Toyota produced 12,000 Special Edition (SE) Camry. The price ranges between $23,840 U.S Dollars and $26,150 U.S Dollars.
The Japanese manufacturers new 2016 Camry sedan can be compared to the 2016 Ford Fusion, 2016 Honda Accord and 2016 Mazda 6. The Fusion also offers sharper driving dynamics and sharper styling, similar to the Camry. Even though the Accord isn’t much to look at, it still offers some competition for the new 2016 Toyota Camry in terms of reliability. The Mazda 6 and Ford Fusion are very similar. The Mazda 6 offers excellent fuel economy and sharp rank-leading handling. These three are the biggest competitors for the Camry. Those who didn’t find 2015 Camry very impressive can invest in the 2016 version. It may well be worth the investment.
