The company envisages creating a totally redesigned body for this latest Tacoma. The compact pickup will be based on the latest platform called Kaizen. This concept has been already tried on the lately arrived Hilux. Expect a totally differently designed exterior. The concentration has been on building a lighter vehicle and hence, the company engineers have chosen aluminum and HSS for the body. This latest offering will therefore not only weigh lesser than its antecedents but also save a lot of fuel and deliver far more impressively. The price of this pickup is not confirmed yet. The latest rumors pin the cost at around $20,000 for the US market. High chances are there of this version making a debut in the Detroit Auto Show in 2015 and will arrive in the US in the latter part of the year.
